Curbed Cup Voting Is Open

Last year Uptown was Curbed Chicago's "Neighborhood of the Year."   This year, we've already triumphed over the Loop in the quarter-finals and the voting is now open for Uptown versus Hyde Park in the semi-finals.  You can vote here.

Update:  Looks like the voting is over, or at least slowed to a trickle, so Uptown advances to the finals against either Lincoln Square or Lakeview West.  According to the stats as of 4:30pm on Wednesday, December 28th, Uptown has won by more than a 2-to-1 margin.  We'll let you know when voting opens for the final determination.  Can Uptown be a two-time winner?  The voters will decide.

  4. The finals are now upon us and open.

It seems like late last night or early this morning West Lakeview voters stuffed the online ballot box. The horror.

The link URL to the final contest even has Lincoln Square in the address. It looked like LS was going on to an easy victory.

  6. I know this is probably a meaningless question but....

Why isn't West Lakeview a neighborhood?

West Rogers Park....distinct from the east....por ejemplo....
