A Very Uptown New Year's Eve

The Uptown Chamber has compiled a list of New Year's Eve festivities here in Uptown, and we added a few ourselves.   Ring in the new year close to home....

• Take In A Show With the Neo-Futurists.  On Saturday, December 31, doors open at The Neo-Futurarium (5153 N Ashland, at Foster) at 9:30p.m. for non-alcoholic refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.  A performance of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind begins promptly at 11:00p.m. (no admittance after 11:00p.m.)  The performance ends at 12 midnight with a New Year’s toast and The Neo-Futurists’ signature pizza.  Admission is $50.  Advance tickets are required and available online at www.neofuturists.org.  Although Too Much Light New Year’s Eve is an all-ages show, it is not appropriate for children.
• Ceres' Table (4882 N Clark) is offering a three-course dinner flight and a five-course dinner flight. You can check out the menus here. The three course menu is $45 and will be available until 7:00p.m. The five course menu is $65 and available all night.  For reservations please call 773.878.4882.
• Fat Cat (4840 N Broadway) offers an "Anti-Prohibition New Year's Eve," with a "Recovery Brunch" beginning at 11am on New Year's Day.  Check out the details here.
• Black Ensemble Theater Cultural Center (4450 N Clark) will celebrate New Year's Eve Black Ensemble Style!  Featuring The Jackie Wilson Story, as well as dancing and open mic.  Click here for more information.
• The Sofo Tap (4923 N Clark) will host a New Year's Eve Party.  Limited number of tickets are available for $40 apiece.  Open bar from 9pm till 1am featuring Absolut, Jack Daniels, Cuervo, Bacardi, all draft beer. • The Spot (4437 N Broadway) will host the 5th Annual Masquerade Ball. Buffet with carving station, 4 hour call drink package, champagne toast and more.  Call 773-728-8934 to RSVP.  Click here for more details.
• Crew Bar + Grill (4804 N Broadway) will have drinks specials and a champagne toast at midnight, as well as a deejay until 3am.  Check out the full details here.
• Fontana Grill and Wine Bar (1329 W Wilson) will have two seating available for a delectable way to ring in the new year.  The menu features organic eggplant rollata, tiramisu, and more fresh creations.  Click here for the full menu options.
