Last year Uptown was Curbed Chicago's "Neighborhood of the Year." This year, we've already triumphed over the Loop in the quarter-finals and the voting is now open for Uptown versus Hyde Park in the semi-finals. You can vote here.
Update: Looks like the voting is over, or at least slowed to a trickle, so Uptown advances to the finals against either Lincoln Square or Lakeview West. According to the stats as of 4:30pm on Wednesday, December 28th, Uptown has won by more than a 2-to-1 margin. We'll let you know when voting opens for the final determination. Can Uptown be a two-time winner? The voters will decide.

ReplyDeletegood discussion going on at curbed chicago.
Looks like uptown has a chance to win again. It will be Uptown versus Lakeview West.
ReplyDeleteI would like say it is less then a "good discussion" going on over there with Jeff O./ Muhammed. More O da same.
ReplyDeleteIts silly...but hey...we won....yiiippppie!
The finals are now upon us and open.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like late last night or early this morning West Lakeview voters stuffed the online ballot box. The horror.
The link URL to the final contest even has Lincoln Square in the address. It looked like LS was going on to an easy victory.

Lets make sure that Uptown wins.
ReplyDeleteWest Lakeview, thats not really a neighborhood.
I know this is probably a meaningless question but....
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't West Lakeview a neighborhood?
