One rehab we have been keeping our eye on is the Lorali at 1039 W. Lawrence.
After being granted approval back in October 2019 to convert the 161 unit SRO to 80 market rate units with 10% on-site affordable, activity in the building had been virtually at a standstill.
An eagle-eyed reader noticed a building permit in the doorway that was granted back in April for interior demo work but we are also told that construction financing is in place and actual construction is imminent. We look forward to seeing this building brought back to its former glory!
