Celebrate Summer with the Windy City Winds! Join Chicago's Community Band as they celebrate the joy of music and warmer temperatures with their first concert of 2021 on Thursday, July 29th at 7pm in Buttercup Park, located at 4913 N Sheridan Rd.
The band will perform a mix of marches, popular music and wind band classics featuring The Entertainer, Gustav Holst’s First Suite in E Flat, a Duke Ellington medley and much more! Bring a blanket and a chair!
Windy City Winds, “Chicago’s Community Band,” is a 60-member concert ensemble dedicated to performing music that is inspiring and engaging. The band's talented woodwind, brass, and percussion players rehearse weekly and each season they give a series of indoor and outdoor concerts. As a welcoming and inclusive organization, Windy City Winds celebrates the diversity of its members, audiences, and music.
