Gas Station Renovation Underway At Lawrence & Ashland

Crews work to remove the old canopies at the Mobil station at Lawrence & Ashland

After the auto repair shop on the SE corner of Lawrence and Ashland came down for an apartment building, neighbors were wondering if the NE corner's fate was sealed when demo crews arrived on site.

According to the updated building permit, it is simply being rebuilt as a new gas station and convenience store. 

Update: This will reopen as a 7-Eleven.
