Commander Sean Loughran, Ald. Harry Osterman, police officers from the 20th District, and neighborhood residents including "Uptown Youth" (as the news release says) will kick off a new program aimed at building ongoing relationships between the cops and the community.
It starts with a basketball game on Wednesday night at 6:30pm at the Pedersen-McCormick Boys & Girls Club located at 4835 North Sheridan. All are invited and encouraged to attend.
Ald. Osterman writes: "I am honored to have a spot on the 20th District's team this evening. This event was spearheaded by youth at the Boys & Girls Club, and is the beginning of efforts they are taking to build strong relationships with the Chicago Police District. I am proud of the youth in our community for taking a proactive approach to build alliances in the community."
