Attention, Urban Gardeners and Those Who Support Them

one of the gardens maintained by NUNA,
outside the Bezazian Library
From North Uptown Neighborhood Association (NUNA):

"Donations and labor needed for gardens. NUNA members, we have a wonderful opportunity to secure funds and support for our four NUNA gardens.

An anonymous donor has offered to match any gardening donations up to a total of $500!

These funds would allow us to replace dead plants, plant fall bulbs in all gardens, and other maintenance that we cannot afford out of NUNA's budget alone. If we can match the entire $500, we will also be able to plant the eighteen window boxes on the Magnolia side of Bezazian Library.

Our block club maintains the gardens outside the post office, Bezazian Branch library, the Cathay Bank parking lot and at Envision (4919 N. Clark). NUNA is committed to improving our area and beautifying the neighborhood in this way.

The gardening season is upon us, so we're hoping to get donations by June 17. Please reach out to Joy Noven (jnoven@sbcglobal.net), Garden Committee Chair, if you can contribute.

We need more neighbors to help water and maintain these four garden projects. Can you spare a few hours this summer? Please contact Joy to hear about opportunities to help."
