Yes, that Pasteur Restaurant. It was located at Lawrence and Sheridan between 1985 and 1995. In July 1995, a fire in the apartments above it caused the ceiling to collapse, dumping furniture and debris into the storefront, ruining the restaurant. Its owners eventually reopened Pasteur in Edgewater in a much more elegant incarnation. But Uptown residents from that era will always have a soft spot for what was then a hidden gem, with the "Time To Eat" rotating clock outside and the hand-painted mural that ran the length of the interior wall.
