The CTA demolition workers
kicked ass this weekend. For the first time in nearly a century, sunlight is shining on what used to be shadowy parts of the intersection of Leland and Broadway. The heavy westernmost concrete bridge barrier is gone, from the Uptown Broadway Building all the way to the first support pillar south of Leland on Broadway. A reminder that
the train overpass on Wilson Avenue west of Broadway will be getting the same treatment beginning Monday morning, with Wilson closed to vehicular traffic between Broadway and Clifton.
