We didn't know this was going on this year, but a reader writes:

"Just wanted to send a reminder that the Uptown Farmer's Market is is full swing again at Weiss Hospital parking lot located at 4646 N Clarendon.  As an fyi, it is sponsored by the hospital so it is not on the City's listing of farmer's markets.

The market runs from 7 AM to 1 PM every Thursday and they now have all their vendors participating.  The pastry table is currently located in the lobby of Weiss Hospital because their most loyal patrons are hospital employees.  I was there early last week and scored some fresh rhubarb and strawberries along with recipes to prepare jam.  Yum!"

And of course, there's still the Argyle Night Market, beginning at 4pm, for those who aren't available from 7am to 1pm.  According to Business Partners, there are two new farmstand vendors there this week, as well as the usual array of Uptown businesses, and entertainment from The Hypocrites.  For a full line-up, see here.
