SBIF Money Available for Business Owners

Lawrence/Broadway SBIF Program Open.   The Lawrence/ Broadway TIF district has recently been re-opened to receive applications for the Small Business Improvement Fund.  The district has about $300,000 and no current applicants.  The deadline is November 30, 2012.  If you have questions about applying for SBIF, please contact Sara Dinges at Sara@48thward.org or 773-784-5277.

SBIF's purpose is "to help owners of commercial and industrial properties within specific TIF districts to repair or remodel their facilities," with specific guidelines in place; they're listed on the City's website.  The Lawrence/Broadway TIF encompasses 74 acres, and its boundaries can be seen in the map above.
