Parade Sights

From what we've heard, yesterday was by and large a huge success, with ABC7 broadcasting from the Jewel parking lot at Montrose and Broadway and waxing effusively about Uptown.  We also saw a lot of local businesses booming yesterday, so we hope it was a financial success as well as an entertainment success.  We also saw Uptowners line the parade route to see all the excitement right here at home.   It actually brought a lump to my throat to see the mayor shaking hands with people at Montrose and Broadway.  Here's to a great 2012 Parade, and an even better one next year.
