Papa's Got A Brand New Sign

Papa Ray's has taken down its awning and installed more permanent signage at its store (4757 N. Sheridan), which we hope means they're settling in for a good long run in Uptown.

Did you know that if you go to their website, you can download printable coupons, and that if you order online, the delivery fee is waived?  Try www.PapaRaysPizza.com.

  2. I liked awning better.... it really made the storefront stand out among a grubby string of storefronts.

  3. Next time I walk my dog, Poochy, I stop by & have a slice. It looks clean.

  4. IF they would kick out the gangbangers that hang around there on bad weather days in particular, and use it as their 'office' I might actual support it. Gone in before and it is, frankly, frightening at times.but until then...no way..

  5. I'm happy to see this place stick around. I would like to go more often, but the doorway between Papas and the corner mart has become gangbanger central lately - I suspect a member of that community lives in an apartment above. They stand in the doorway and duck in if the cops drive by and then communicate with their colleagues at JJ Peppers, Lawrence House and the grill next to JJ's. It's all very flagrant.
