When: Wednesday, Sept. 28 from 6pm - 8pm
Where: 46th Ward Office (4544 N. Broadway)
We have the works of local artists hanging in our office. Please join us for our Open House event and meet some talented people.
Anyone with questions, concerns, or comments about ward or city matters is also welcome to stop by.
In October, there will be an open public forum at another location within the ward.
I can't remember the name of that artist off hand, it is on the label, some interesting work. That particular painting is about 3'x 4'.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, I have some work up on the wall also, proud to participate!
Alderman James is serious about bringing the arts to Uptown, I know I haven't always thought so......people evolve and I am no different.
A quick shout out and tip of the hat to our friend John Burks from A.C.E who did a lot of good work setting this up.
Glad to see this happening! :)
ReplyDeleteArts should be a very important part of Uptowns revival... can anyone share anything about the galleries where Molly's campaign office was? The building on Broadway between Leland and Clifton that was just rehapped?
ReplyDelete@ jon
ReplyDeleteThat exhibit would also be the wok of John Burks and artists Central Exchange.
You can check out the Facebook page, it has more info on the artwork in the post as well.

OooOoops...that would be "work of" JB...and not "wok of".....
ReplyDeleteAlso on the office wall is this 18" x 24" drawing with a Conte' charcoal pencil.
