Well, what do you know?
A bunch of people reported their windshields being smashed last week, and here's footage of some jackass doing just that on Clifton.
Smile, buddy, you're famous! Caught in the act. If you see this guy and his big bag of rocks, give 9-1-1 a call. Looks like he may just be the reason so many people reported smashed windshields without any evidence of theft last week.
What is up with this guy? Why this car? Odd.
ReplyDeleteIt would be "odd" if it wasn't Uptown. I am just surprised he didn't take a dump on someones building before throwing the rock.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be surprised if it's somebody from a local automotive shop.
ReplyDeletehe actually looked like he was either being contemplative about doing it or saying a blessing before he throw the rocks.
ReplyDeleteHmmm, should be easy to spot on the street and eventually arrested. Looks like this car was targeted.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the car was targeted, He looks at the truck in front of the car before going for the car. Even before actually throwing the rock he looks pensive...
ReplyDeleteRandom vandalism should not be tolerated anywhere, it's just so sad that it's been concentrated around the area.
That is what happens when you have concentrated poverty/mentally ill people in an area. They have nothing better to do than to destroy nice things, which they themselves could have if they were productive members of society.
don't get me wrong. I hate to see this kind of vandalism. But, maybe we could lighten up on jumping to conclusions?
ReplyDeleteHas this video been forwarded to the CPD yet?
ReplyDeleteuptown dude, please, "this is what happens when you have concentrated poverty/mental illness", reeeaaallly? That is soooooooo lame, what a cheap shot. I realize socially cleansing Uptown of people living in poverty or with mental illness is a subtle, recurrent, though not overtly stated, theme\fantasy of many UU posters, you really take the cake with that post.
ReplyDeleteI think he is looking at a piece of paper with the car's plates.
ReplyDeletePathetic low life with nothing else better to do then cause damage to some underserving person.
ReplyDeleteNotice how he also uses the sound of the L as cover. You can see it passing by the top right corner of the screen as he peers around the corner looking for pedestrians.
ReplyDeleteI interpret these as premeditated acts.... a compulsion maybe? I also found his pronounced hesitation immediately prior to the climax disturbing.
HawkMoon947 - we sent it to the police early this morning.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I would walk 10 blocks in order to avoid parking my car on that stretch of Clifton. With a bunch of degenerate lowlifes that are in and out of that alley, I'd be concerned stuff like this would happen all the time. Avoid a problem I say, don't park your car in a dump like Clifton.
ReplyDeleteStill doesn't make it right.
Underserving person? I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteMedia Critic: I think what Ben Dover is saying is that the person who owns the car did not deserve his windshield getting smashed.
ReplyDeleteSean,
ReplyDeleteWhat area are you in? Have you seen the other videos from this area? Gang fights, shootings, public urination, loitering (not the positive type), drug dealing and pretty much anything that by nature will keep the type of people who need the help of Social Services, from getting the help they so desperately need.
It's concentrated around this area. If the drug dealers don't have anyone to deal drugs to, then they move to places where there are drugs to be sold. The concentration of drug users, mentally ill, prostitutes, gang bangers (from feuding gangs), make Uptown the Hot Zone it's become.
You must not live or work in Uptown, or if you do perhaps you are one of the above listed people. There are successful places in the city that can truly help these people, it's clear that something has to change in the way the places in Uptown provide services to those who need them, instead of just getting rich off of the poor.
I hope they catch this guy as it looks like he will not stop doing damage until he is caught. A good place to look for him would be in one of the many half-way houses or shelters that are in our area.
ReplyDeletethat is just RICH! Soundtrack totally makes it….how sad. Hope they catch the waste of human space…..
ReplyDeletethis is the most pointless act of vandalism I've ever seen.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, this man's actions are pretty scary. There is totally something going on with this guy.
First a pooper, now a smasher. Uptown rocks!
ReplyDeleteAny update on this guy? He looks like a guy someone can ID
