Lights, Camera.... Action?

A reader writes in:

"Parking on Kenmore Avenue between Irving Park and Buena is restricted Friday due to a movie being filmed.  I don't think I have ever seen this happen on our street. I don't know when the signs went up, but there are still a ton of cars parked here."

Anyone know what's filming?

  1. It's apparently a pilot for a new show on FX called "Powers." I believe the production company is Woodridge Productions but I can't remember exactly what was on the sign on one of the gates I walked past this morning.

  3. It appears that Powers is an adaptation of the grpahic novel of the same name, judging by the cast of characters on IMDB.

  4. Shit. I wish I was up in the neighborhood to see this (and try and get one of the producers to sign some books he wrote).

  6. Yeah "Powers" a Pilot for FX Network. I had no where to park. I was very angry when I came home because the entire street was no parking and same for Irving. They should have let the residents park in the parking lot along the cemetery, I mean where are we supposed to put our cars.

  7. They are always filming something in this area. Most recently, Chicago Code, Little Fockers, Eagle Eye, and something else. I know ER filmed here a few times. They love Irving & Sheridan in Hollywood apparently.
