Business Partners, The Chamber for Uptown has graciously donated booth space for representatives of the 46th Ward schools at RibFest.  This is an opportunity for community members, current parents, and prospective parents to learn more about the positive things happening in our schools.

This has been organized by The Friends of the 46th Ward Schools, a group that is currently forming as a result of feedback from the Education Transition Team formed by Alderman Cappleman.  The goal of The Friends of the 46th Ward Schools is to facilitate community involvement in our schools, bring much needed resources to our schools, and help our 46th Ward schools fully serve our Ward's need by providing excellent educational opportunities for our Ward's children.

Membership in The Friends of the 46th Ward Schools is open to all community members.  To be added to our distribution list send an email to Friends46thWardSchools@gmail.com.

  1. That's a really good idea.

It's nice to see creativity being used to reach out to the community, rather than the other way around.

  2. You can learn all about exciting things going on in the schools that are open to the community. Like Stewart's annual musical, or Uplift pool being open to community members, and weekly yoga classes.
