Who needs Groupon?
Wednesday only, there's a two-for-one sale for tickets to the concert Friday night at the Riv, the proceeds of which will pay down Alderman-Elect James Cappleman's campaign debt.
Just $20 for two tickets! Three bands and an appearance by James. Such a deal. Read more about it here.
You can buy the tickets through etix.com from from 7am-7pm Wednesday. You can also get them in person at the Cappleman Transition Office (10am-8pm, 4133 N Broadway) or at the Vic Theater Box Office (no service charge at the transition office or at the Vic).
This is the first event in the 46th Ward's line-up of inauguration events. Start the transition season with a bargain, and what's sure to be a great evening in our entertainment district.
And if you'd like to mingle with Alderman-elect Cappleman, the bands and your neighbors beforehand, there is a VIP Meet & Greet at Uptown Recording just down the street. 6 pm - 7:30 pm. $100 includes some food, drinks, admission to the Riv Show, and a very special opportunity to hang out with James & some well-known members of the amazing Chicago Music Community. There is a link on James' web site to purchase these tickets. Space is limited!
