First Chance To Decide On New Representation

For the first time since the 1980s, Uptowners have an open field.  Not a single incumbent alderman in sight... nor a mayor.  It's all up for grabs.

Early voting began at 9am today and will continue through February 17th.  You can vote anywhere in Chicago; the only Uptown location is Truman College (1145 W Wilson), where the hours are 9am-5pm, Monday through Saturday.  You can check here for other locations; some polling places are open on Sundays and Lincoln's Birthday, including Welles Park in Lincoln Square.

If you already know who you're voting for, why not go early and beat the rush?  But if you're still deciding, by all means, go to the aldermanic forums (there are plenty left), read the questionnaires, and visit the websites.  There's never been an election where there's so much information out there.  Take advantage of it, and be sure to vote.
