  1. MM babee,

I don't think the Cook County Board of elections handled this. It's a city board issue.

If I'm wrong someone can correct me.

I doubt there was a conspiracy there.

The candidates might even have been there for the drawing for all I know.

  2. In Chicago elections and politics, ANY question about propriety or corruption is valid.

  3. These are the ballot measures that were drafted by Marc Kaplan (I think). They will appear in select precincts.

Resources for Youth Wd 46 Sel Pcts
Should the City of Chicago use every available resource, including increased funding, for youth outreach, violence prevention and intervention programs, job readiness and educational support programs, park district and local school usage, for the purpose of proactively resolving youth violence, increasing community safety, helping every young person to reach their full potential and to stem the tide of violence that is plaguing our communities. Yes or No

TIF Funds Wd 46 Sel Pcts
Should the City of Chicago allocate a minimum of 20% of TIF (Tax Increment Financing) funds on a yearly basis to be used to preserve and produce housing affordable to persons at or below the community median income; return all tax dollars that have been taken from the public schools for the TIF Districts and be prohibited from taking any tax dollars from the public schools in TIF Districts in the future. Yes or No

  4. That's a long list for the 46th ward. How do I sort out who to vote for? Will there be any debates? Are the neighborhood associations having any meetings about it?

Who is Marc Kaplan? Who determines which precincts ballot measures appear on?
