Buttercup Park Advisory Committee, a part of the Sheridan Road Task Force, has been working diligently to create a safe haven for the children of Uptown. We've been following the progress of the volunteers to improve Buttercup Park, and now you can take a look at the designs they've come up with.
From the Action Uptown blog, put out by the 48th Ward Aldermanic Office:
The Buttercup Park Advisory Committee has been hard at work improving Buttercup, making it a safer and more inviting place to play. Below are two proposed redesigns of the park, based on community input from a charette held earlier this year. Please take a moment to review the two designs and leave your thoughts in the comments section.
While a makeover is nice, it's the security that matters. I don't think I'll ever be comfortable in bringing my kids to that park unless the area gets a lot safer.
