  2. I didnt know that this place
    had performance space.

Does this place regularly put on shows?

I guess its a substance abuse (etohism) center.

  3. I have seen wheel performers acts before. Here in Chicago as well as overseas. I highly recommend seeing wheel performers as the price is right and it is some unusual and good entertainment you will enjoy.

  4. Geofredo, it's not a substance abuse center, it's a place to give kids "alternatives" to the street. They put on shows often. Look up "Alternatives" in the search bar on the right hand side of the main page to see what they do, and have done.

  5. My daughter has volunteered and many of her friends have participated in CircEsteem at Alternatives. Kids get to learn juggling, trapeze, how to walk on stilts (my favorite) and the wheel. The kids have a blast. They learn teamwork and really root for each others' accomplishments. If you have a child between the ages of 8 and 18, I highly recommend the program. There's a really good summer camp, too.

This building used to be the home of the Dance Center of Columbia College so the auditorium space supports all sorts of stagings.
