Time Travel?

A reader points out: "Wonder if you realized that these two photos from the UU Facebook page are essentially from the same vantage point around Broadway and Leland. 80+ years in two shots."

If you have photos of the fest, or Uptown, we encourage you to upload them to our new Flickr page, graciously set up by a reader.   There are a few photos there already -- we look forward to seeing many more as the weeks go by.  We'd like to make it a fun place for people to peruse images of our community, past and present.

    i've never seen that historic perspective - anybody else notice that the uptown bank building is 4 floors shorter than it is now?

    CJ--You can see a great 1924 image of a much shorter Bridgeview Bank Building (formerly Sheridan Trust / Uptown Bank) here: Sheridan Trust and Savings.
