Uptown residents and employees of Uptown businesses can receive a 20% discount on tickets ($12 instead of $15) for any performance of the 24th annual Chicago Young Playwrights Festival. Pegasus Players presents the festival, which runs from January 7 - 31, at the O'Rourke Center for the Performance Arts at Truman College. Use the code word "uptown" when purchasing tickets online or by phone.Three short plays written by Chicago high school students are being presented in a fully-professional production. The festival received a record 803 submissions for this year's festival.
