A reminder that there were two shootings in Beat 2313 in the past couple weeks, and in each case, children and mothers had to duck for cover from the bullets. An elderly man was hurt by flying glass when a bullet went through the window of the currency exchange at Wilson & Broadway, and windows were shattered at a high-rise residence at 4550 N Clarendon.
If you're concerned about the rising violence in the ward, particularly if you live in Beat 2313, please plan to attend the CAPS meeting this evening at the Clarendon Park Fieldhouse, 4501 N Clarendon, at 7pm, to discuss situations and solutions with the beat officers.
