A reader sends in the following pic and info:
"I live near Leland and Magnolia and have noticed this gaping hole (north side of Leland at the alley between Malden and Magnolia) around a light pole and sewer entrance for some time now. I even called 311 over a month ago and it is still not repaired. What is it with Uptown and unfinished infrastructure work? You can see under curb and below the street. I can only imagine how many people have parked next to this 3 foot deep hole at night and stepped down into this. It is dangerous and needs filled immediately. Hope this gets the right person's attention."
Do you know the exact address?
ReplyDeleteMagical City Guy-There's also a smallish but deep hole in the middle of the street in front of 948 W. Cuyler, if there's anything you can do about that. Thanks, local superhero!
ReplyDeletePeople, why can't you get this. Your saftey is not a priority. Not until we house every last Poor, mentally ill, drug dealer in Chicago, can we focus on the basic funtion of our tax dollars. Let Shiller and the city focus on one thing at the time. She must be close after being in office for two decades. Maybe they are preparing for when we run out of room. Maybe they will start housing under the street. New approach stack 'em high and low.
ReplyDeleteLooking at Google Maps, the closest address appears to be 1244-1246 W Leland.
