El Pollo Loco Joins Chicken Wars, Honors Moms

Now this is funny. As you may have read, KFC was giving out coupons for free meals through May 19th. Except for Mother's Day. (Too bad, so sad, Mom!) But then KFC canceled the promotion once Oprah mentioned it and KFCs got overwhelmed by the demand.

Now El Pollo Loco has shaken its tail feathers and is honoring KFC coupons for one day only. You guessed it, Mother's Day. EPL asks the timeless question: "Does KFC have something against mothers?" (And people say Uptown Update is snarky!) If you still have a KFC coupon around, go to El Pollo Loco and enjoy a free meal with Mom, or whoever, tomorrow.

(Technically, you were supposed to print out the coupons by May 5th. They're no longer available on the KFC website. But anyone who's moderately familiar with Google and/or photo-sharing web sites can probably figure out a way around it.)

    I really like this fast food joint. They service is fast and they have good prices and are very clean to what I have seen. At least the city has not shuy them down like others have been. I also note each time I drive by I see no groups of undesirables all hanging around their property and specially by the front doors.
