R3 Salon's Doors Are Open Again

As some of R3's clients may know, Richard Flack, the owner/operator of R3, has had to temporarily close the salon to get treatment for facial skin cancer. He's feeling better and looking forward to getting back to work with his doctors' blessings, but he's gotten mixed opinions about whether or not the disease may have returned. He asked us to let our readers know that the salon will reopen Saturday. Of course, we wish him the best, both in his health and business.

"So, all of that to say I am feeling ready and able to re-open, but there is a great deal of “unknown” at this point. If the cancer is indeed regressing and continues to do so, then everything is business as usual. If it is not regressing and decides to reverse course again, I will need to shut right back down to have some pretty major surgery.

"After much consideration, I have decided that the best course to take is to share this information with you and simply move forward with positive hopes. If I must shut down again for the surgery, then that is out of my control, but in the interim I can take care of my valued clients and make sure you are all looking great and beautiful for the upcoming Thanksgiving Holiday with your families.

"As such, I will be re-opening this Saturday the 15th at 10am after my early morning dermatologist visit. For now we will take appointments through the Wednesday before Thanksgiving which should allow some flexibility for everyone to get on the books before the holiday and for me to schedule the surgery, if it is necessary to have it, after the holiday and minimize cancellations and impact on the business.
