A reader sent us the following information, mark your calendars.GWCA (Graceland West Community Association) will have an exclusive audience with Alderman Schulter on October 15th at 6:30pm at the Alderman's office (4237 N. Lincoln). The primary purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Wilson Yard project with the Alderman. Also, we will have the opportunity to discuss other issues of interest to GWCA.
Is this a public event? Living on the West side of Dover, Gene is my alderman. For all the talk of corruption around him, the man listens and gets things done. When we were having sewer problems behind our house, Gene got a crew there within the week(thats like FedEx level speed for Chicago). When we have property tax issues, Gene meets with anyone who wants to talk and helps them figure out if they have a case and how they can proceed.
ReplyDeleteIn short, Gene is pretty much everything you can hope to get out of an Alderman in this town. I expect this meeting to be in sharp contrast to any of the meetings with Shiller. If its a public event, I think I'd like to go.
