Agami And Body Fit Athletic Club Shout-Out

If you haven't had a chance to check out Agami at 4712 N. Broadway, you are missing out. They have some of the best sushi on the northside and great atmosphere inside. Check out the reviews on Yelp here.
And after loading up on sushi and sake, you should check out Body Fit Athletic Club right on the corner of Leland and Broadway in the same complex. If you are looking for another option to World Gym, check them out. Give them a ring at 773-878-8822 or check out their Yelp review here.
And while we are on the subject of giving great local businesses your business, this storefront at 4716 N. Broadway has been vacant for a long time now. It's in a prime location, especially with the Uptown Broadway Building rehab taking place across the street. There is a T-Mobile retail store next door that sees quite a bit of business. Perhaps a Sprint retail store would do great here as well. Interested parties can call 847-215-5400.

  1. I've been to Agami several times and love it! It's got some really creative and delicious rolls.

  2. I agree whole-heartedly! I especially love the crunchy melt roll (Shrimp Tempura, Tempura Crunch, Cream Cheese with Mozzarella melted over the top), it's so decadently delicious!!!

The atmosphere is really cool and the staff is very friendly. A great place for date night.

  3. Anyone else look at the headline and read "shoot out"? Its making me think about the fuzzy distinction between perception and reality [/end armchair philosophizing]!

PS- Agami. Good. Maybe I could have afforded that house in "east ravenswood" if not for Agami! :)

  4. one of my first sorta-dates with my now husband was at agami, so that place will always have a special place in my heart.

it's a very cool place. the night aforementioned, we saw members of the decemberists eating in there and having a lovely time!

i keep hoping another great eatery will find its way into the lovely "new" building across the street.

  5. Yes, Saskia, I thought the exact same thing.

I also agree - Agami: Good. Agami: Expensive.

  6. Crunchy melt roll is sooooo good! They also do take out, so you don't have to worry about spending lots of dough on drinks.

  7. Body Fit Athletic Club is a great place to get a workout in a clean, well maintained environment. They don't have long term contracts and the staff is extremely friendly. I've been a member since they opened in 2005. I refused to join the other neighborhood gym after they rudely snubbed my questions about their membership dues because I didn't have time to listen to their hard sell.

  8. Agami is exceptional... I eat there once a month, at least. I highly recommend any of the specialty Nigiri - beautiful, unique, and delicious!
