A reader spotted this gentleman at Lawrence and Broadway this afternoon. He was putting his life in danger as well as the drivers' who were swerving to avoid him, all for some spare change. He was seen stumbling (from intoxication?) into oncoming traffic as drivers wailed on their horns. The reader called 911.

Dodging Traffic For Spare Change
A reader spotted this gentleman at Lawrence and Broadway this afternoon. He was putting his life in danger as well as the drivers' who were swerving to avoid him, all for some spare change. He was seen stumbling (from intoxication?) into oncoming traffic as drivers wailed on their horns. The reader called 911.

ReplyDeleteI lived this area for years. Each day as I drive home I always see people in the street asking for money as well as on the sidewalks. I see the police do nothing about it either. They sit in their cars at the lights and drive right by them. I would think its against the law to be in the streets causing a danger to them as well as us drivers that almost hit them.
Our local police should chase them away and make it safer for them and ourselves.............
