We noticed a lot of power-washing going on along Wilson Avenue today. We stopped to chat with one of the workers, who told us he was working along our retail corridors at the request of the SSA. We're glad to see a winter's worth of grime, gunk and gum being removed from Uptown's sidewalks.
this isn't exactly what i had in mind for "cleaning up" our streets.
ReplyDeleteYou know the city didn't request it.
ReplyDeleteDo not forget the gallons of dry spit. In a two block walk every morning, I see atleat 20 people spitting and just walking around. This does not include the spitting on the Wilson El. Walking the platform is a game of "avoid the spit". Just a small example of how people feel about the hood they live in and the hood Shiller thinks is best for everyone. Not even the people she claims to protect have any respect for the hood. My God, they spit on it on a daily basis. sad
ReplyDeleteIs this in any way related to the walk/gathering scheduled for this weekend? Just in case, I don't know, TV cameras show up?
ReplyDelete(It is this weekend, right?)
Nope, nevermind, next weekend... sorry.
ReplyDeleteThe Anti-Crime rally is Saturday, June 7, at 4544 N Broadway.

ReplyDeleteAnonymous 6:36 am: Your comments are the typewritten equivalent of "spitting."
This is being funded by SSA #34?
