We spotted a new restaurant on Clark just south of Leland. "Tiztal Cafe," at 4631 N. Clark, has a sign advertising breakfast served all day and also a fresh fruit and juice bar. The photo is a bit blurry but we peeked inside and the interior has been totally redone.While you are over in this area, be sure to check out "Thai On Clark," which is just a bit north of Tiztal Cafe and is sporting a nice, new awning. Prices are reasonable and it has some of the best chicken satay we have ever tasted. Call 773-275-2620 for carryout orders.
And when youre done eating your Thai vittles, truck on over to neighborhood mainstay "Carol's Pub" for some drinkin' and dancin' to country music.
ReplyDeleteMy boyfriend and I eat at Thai on Clark 2-3 times a month, not only are the prices great - but it's some of the best Thai food in Chicago.
ReplyDeleteEvery dish I've tried has been really authentic & well flavored, I really recommend trying this restaurant.
Some of my favorites: the fish cakes, spring rolls, panang curry, massaman curry, pad thai, pad kee mow.
& of course, the thai iced coffee!
My husband and I just had breakfast at Tiztal Cafe today. It was really fresh and good! I had the poached eggs with spinach, onions and a hollandaise sauce with canadian bacon and english muffin and the best potatoes I've had in years (garlic and roasted)! The prices are not the cheapest, but you get the best quality for the money. (Expect to spend about $20 for 2 entrees, coffee and juice. We tried their fresh grapefruit juice too). My hubby had the eggs with ham and it comes with the same yummy potatoes. The owners Rosemary and Theresa gave us samples of their fresh made juices too. The portions are generous... (We found out Rosemary is the former manager of the old Zephyr's restaurant too). The decor is nice, they did a great job. It won't be long before this place becomes a local favorite! Give this place a try!
