  4. No dog parks in "human" parks. Go buy some property.

  5. that park is huge and not all of it is used - i would love to hear your insights as to why to not build this park. it will deter crime, introduce neighbors, and keep the mess in one place where it is easily cleaned up by the owner. Really... what's the issue please? Do YOU use the park? As a female I am nervous to walk my dog within the streets in that area... but I am also nervous to walk him in Clarendon Park across the street.. why not use a bit of the PUBLIC land to promote a safer, brighter area for us dog-owners to be?

  6. Because a dog park would exclusively for people with dogs and no one else. Parks are for the people....I'm against all development in city parks and national parks for that matter. Why can't you just walk your dog in the park, instead of a confined fenced in area? Park space is disappearing.....forever.

Is Clarendon park also for people that don't live in uptown to play softball and soccer in. Most of hte time that park is off limits during the summer on any given night because people from outside of our community are playing in a rec game. Why can't we do something that the residents of uptown can use as well as others? How is this a bad thing???

  9. Isn't Driftwood the bar that allows dogs inside?

  10. Yes, Driftwood lets you bring in your dog. Actually, quite a few bars (taverns, usually) in Chicago will allow dogs, unless they serve food, in which case, they can't. Yet another cool thing about a good neighbor.
