Uptown-Style Advertising?

We walk near the intersection of Lawrence and Kenmore often and have made it a habit of removing various cups that are placed on the fence and throwing them away only to find them back up the next day. Could this be a clever game or do these cups on this fence signify more? Thoughts?

  1. Possible drug sales. They used to throw a tennis shoe on the power line. Just a thought.

  3. I ask, only because many of us have been expecting that the drug dealing is going to move further west on Lawrence as soon as another police camera is put into the neighborhood. (I'm told that Sheridan and Lawrence is getting one soon.)

  4. I think the City should install permanent cameras like London all over the City.

  5. I'll admit, my opinion on London's surveillance policies has changed somewhat since moving to Uptown.

  6. I would like to see one going up at Lawrence/Sheridan... seems like that S-L Pantry is a hub for all kinds of interesting activity... anyone else know anything about this place?

  7. I wish the SL pantry would close. JJ Pepers runs people off from lottering and bothing customers. Maybe we can get a Kwick e Mart.

  8. We have been trying to get the owner of S&L to a CAPS meeting, no luck. The Health Dept. should check out the place, also check to see what he is allowing to be bought with Link cards. There is always litter and a bad element hanging out in front. One place, along with REST that could go. Good Riddance!!
