Peter Rubi Market will be opening in Uptown tomorrow, September 2nd, at 9am!

A reader got an sneak peek at what is awaiting shoppers at the family-owned market's second store, located at street level in the 811 Uptown high-rise (northwest corner of Clarendon and Montrose). We thank her for the photos in this post.

Peter Rubi's focus is health. It says: "We're on a mission to provide fresh produce, homemade food, and pantry goods to empower people to live a healthier, fulfilling lifestyle." It carries a lot more than produce. Take a look here at some of its product lines.

  1. We went yesterday and give it 5 stars for variety of produce, also for wide aisles and easy to reach bins. Helpful staff. Prices range from great bargains to same as Jewel or Whole Foods.

  3. I love this store! I've been shopping there since they opened the Uptown location. I made a delicious BBQ jackfruit dish. It was my first time cooking with jackfruit! Their dips are delicious and healthy! Love it that they have mamey fruit!
