The votes have been counted -- at least in Chicago -- and these are the unofficial results on how wards that include parts of Uptown felt about the Presidential candidates:

  • In the 46th Ward, 63.76% of registered voters cast ballots. They were 85.92% for Biden and 12.50% for Trump.

  • In the 48th Ward, 66.51% of registered voters cast ballots. They were 85.96% for Biden and 12.43% for Trump.
Citywide, there was 59.74% turnout, with 81.59% voting for Biden/Harris and 16.86% voting for Trump/Pence.

Congratulations to all our other elected officials on winning another term: U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky, U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley, State Sen. Sara Feigenholtz, State Sen. Heather Steans, State Rep. Ann Williams, State Rep. Greg Harris, and State Rep. Kelly Cassidy.  State Rep. Margaret Croke was elected for the first time, winning the seat formerly held by Sara Feigenholtz.
