Congratulations to Kie-Gol-Lanee, the cozy Oaxacan restaurant on Sheridan! The prestigious Michelin Guide announced that it has received a Bib Gourmand designation, one of only 14 new Chicago restaurants to be accorded the honor (and one of only 54 citywide).

A Bib Gourmand designation, according to Michelin, denotes a restaurant that "serves high-quality food available at a reasonable price."

Locally owned Kie-Gol-Lanee opened three years ago, with mentoring by Chef Enrique Cortez of Rique's Cocina.

If you haven't tried Kie-Gol-Lanee, drop by! It's located at 5004 Sheridan, just a couple doors north of Argyle. The hours are Wednesday-Sunday 10am-10pm with weekend brunch and dinner; Thursday has tamale specials 7am-1pm.  Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
