Thinking About Going Solar?

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) invites Chicago-area residents to this solar power hour info session to discuss the basics of solar, its financial implications for a household, and how the solar group buy program works.

Attendees will also get a free, no-obligation site assessment from the competitively selected installer.

Residents throughout Cook, Kane, DuPage, and Will counties have an opportunity to participate in Solarize Chicagoland, a grassroots program combining volume purchasing with community education to make solar more accessible and affordable. Regardless of where you live in the counties, you can participate in any of the free informational solar power hours.  This solar power hour is:
  • 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10
  • Sulzer Regional Library, 4455 N. Lincoln Ave.
