Artist At Work (Montrose Edition)

Nightfall? Nothing stops artist Steven Teller from creating his colorful new mural on the west side of the condo building at 835-37 Montrose (across from The Reservoir). We caught him under the lights Monday night, hard at work.

The work-in-progress, commissioned by Uptown United, pays homage to the Montrose Bird Sanctuary, just a stone's throw from the entrance to the park.

You can follow the artist at his Facebook page, Steven Teller Arts. About this mural, he says, "Finally making some progress in Uptown, Chicago after a week of rain, 110 degree heat wave, missing paint orders, defective paint sprayer, and more. At last, it's in the 70s and the wall is fully sketched out. Time for some details and to make this wall pop!!!"
