In 2016, the City Council voted that 42 historic structures in the area surrounding Broadway and Lawrence had been preserved well enough that the area qualified as an official Landmark District, Uptown Square. (The entire list is here.)
Last week, plaques on each of the contributing buildings started being installed, with the dates they were built and the names of their architects. Keep an eye out for glimpses of Uptown's history!
