North Magazine Issue 03 Continues to Celebrate the People of Chicago

Founded in 2015, North Magazine is a print publication that documents the stories of small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and the faces that give life to Chicago. When we think of our neighborhood, specific people and environments come to mind; North is the documentation of those scenes. In Issue 03, the stories of Edgewater, Uptown, Ravenswood and River North feature hot sauce makers and culinary start-ups, healthcare heroes and after-school programs, entertainers and night life that keep us up ‘til morning.

North Magazine is produced by FLATS® and envisioned by the late Jay Michael to highlight the unique character of neighborhoods on the North side of Chicago through stunning photography and in-depth interviews. This tradition has been carried on in the third issue of what is now a biennial publication, distributed throughout the Flats apartment lobbies that are open for the public as well as at businesses throughout the city.

Join us for the launch party of the magazine and see the pages come to life. This event will feature a photography from the magazine as well as artwork from Mike Turner whose illustrative map work is featured as the center fold. In addition, a variety of vendors featured in the magazine such as Koval Liquors, Kyoto Cold Brew, Edge of Sweetness Bakery, Square Nail custom furniture, and more.
