Glorious Graceland

Graceland Cemetery was recently certified as an arboretum, and it is especially spectacular this time of year. If looking at autumnal foliage is your thing, try to get there soon, either by bike, by car, or by foot. The hours are 8am to 4pm daily. (Click to enlarge all photos)

some graves with especially seasonal decorations

Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks, spends his eternal rest in an idyllic setting

It's hard to believe this tranquil spot is immediately south of Montrose and Magnolia

Lake Windermere is one of the most picturesque parts of  Graceland

The bridge leading to the small island where Daniel Burnham and his family are buried

One of the few reminders that you're in the middle of a bustling city comes when an L train rumbles past, just outside Graceland's east wall
