Gang-Related Shooting At Magnolia/Wilson Strip Mall

A reader told us that Wilson and Magnolia is full of police and evidence technicians. Two ambulances have come and gone.

Ald. Cappleman tweeted:
"Spoke with Commander Buslik about 2 shootings at Magnolia/Wilson at 4:30. Police had been out earlier to tell the known gang members to leave. They came back and were shot. Third time for one of the victims. Conditions stable"
We are hearing the exact address is 4556 Magnolia, i.e., the strip mall at the southwest corner of Magnolia and Wilson, which is taped off. Victims were taken to Illinois Masonic.

Update: According to the Sun-Times: "A 19-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to his leg and groin and was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center in critical condition, police said. A 21-year-old man was shot in the buttocks and was also taken to Illinois Masonic, where his condition had stabilized."

  2. Someone had mentioned this before, why not just put a sub police station along Wilson. That is the only way we will get the gangs to stop using Wilson as their playground for their criminal activity. They can put it in the men’s hotel once it gets renovated.
