Police Commanders' Public Meeting For 20th/24th District Residents

If you live in the 20th Police District (all of Uptown north of Lawrence), this note from Harry Osterman may be of interest:

"Public safety is our number one priority. Together, with the police, we have made strides to reduce violence in our neighborhood. This has been a collective community effort, involving residents, police, business owners, property owners, and schools. Communication and collaboration among stakeholders has been critical to improving safety in our community.

As violent crimes continue to plague our city, we must stay vigilant as a community to ensure the safety of ourselves and our neighbors.

My office is hosting a Town Hall Public Safety Meeting with 20th District Police Commander Sean Loughran and 24th District Police Commander Roberto Nieves on Monday, May 22, 6:30pm, at the Broadway Armory, 5917 N. Broadway. This annual meeting allows residents to meet the commanders and to discuss public safety initiatives and issues. Please join me for this important meeting.

If you have any questions about this meeting, please contact Marko Zaric in my office at 773-784-5277 or Marko@48thward.org."
