|Two storefronts on Wilson between Dover & Beacon slated for a restaurant & retail (Google)
We've admired this nice, vintage storefront that was home to Nigerian Kitchen for years. The space then went vacant, was rehabbed, and then put on the market last August when we shared the listing. Butcher paper has been up in the windows for quite a while now and according to building permits issued yesterday, we now have an idea of what to expect:
"INTERIOR ALTERATIONS TO EXISTING ONE STORY COMMERCIAL MASONRY BUILDING PER PLANS. DIVIDE TENANT SPACE INTO 2 SEPARATE SPACES, 1 FOR NEW RESTAURANT AT 1363 & 1 FOR NEW RETAIL SPACE AT 1365. TO INCLUDE NEW MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL, & PLUMBING."
Think back to Wilson Avenue 10 years ago and look at all of the retail and changes that have taken place since then. It is an exciting time be in Uptown for sure!
Once we have more info on the new restaurant and retail coming to this spot, we will pass it along.
