You're Invited To The Grand Re-Opening Party For Buena Park Circle This Sunday

Sunday is supposed to be sunny with temps in the 60s, so come out to Buena Park Circle and celebrate! They're hosting a party to celebrate all the renovations, with Stevie Ray Vaughan tribute band The Wall of Denial, food trucks, new playground equipment, and lots of neighbors! It happens between 2pm and 6pm.

This hasn't been the best year for Buena Park Circle, the much-loved and much-used park located at Buena and Kenmore. In February, most of its canopy trees had to be removed due to infestation by the emerald ash borer. Later in the summer, the playlot was closed so that the city could begin the process of updating the equipment. Unfortunately, the closure forced the cancellation of the autumn concert in the park.

The reforestation began last Wednesday
But things are looking up!
  • Last Wednesday, volunteers planted new trees in the Circle to start the process of replacing those that were removed due to disease.
  • The playground equipment has been modernized and completely replaced.
  • Buena Park Circle won the 46th Ward Award for "Best Garden or Greenspace."
  • And Sunday they will party! Drop by and enjoy the fun.
Note: There will be the traditional safe Trick-or-Treating along Kenmore at Buena on Halloween night, 6pm-8pm.
