Friday is the Grand Opening of The Jerk Stop, featuring Jamaican jerk chicken and Caribbean food. It's located at 1132 West Wilson, at the corner of Clifton, in the former Harold's Chicken storefront. The phone number is 312-600-JERK (5375).
For the Grand Opening, save 20% on your first order. (If you're ordering online, use the coupon code Jerk20 at checkout.) The Jerk Stop's hours are 11am-9pm Monday through Thursday, 11am-1am Friday and Saturday, and closed Sundays. They will feature eat-in, take-out, catering, and delivery.

It was just last winter that naysayers declared that Wilson Avenue was on a downhill spiral. We are happy that the owners of Emerald City Coffee, kāl'ish Short Order Vegan, Pokiology, and The Jerk Stop -- all of which have opened or will be opening this year -- had different visions. We warmly welcome them all to Wilson Avenue and Uptown!
