American Indian Center Collecting Supplies For North Dakota Pipeline Protesters

The American Indian Center is collecting supplies for the Dakota Access Pipeline protesters, with whom they stand in unity.

According to the Facebook page, they are looking for "medical supplies (Band-Aids, gauze, Neosporin, medical kit type stuff) and OTC medicine (ibuprofen, cough medicine, Tums). It's going to be getting cold so they will also be needing more blankets, winter coats, army tents, and camping tools like axes, screwdrivers, and shovels. ... long underwear, hats, gloves, coats, and sleeping bags would also be welcomed. ... Also - batteries and bullhorns and walkie-talkies. ... pots and pans."

"The Chicago delegation to Standing Rock will begin accepting supplies at the American Indian Center of Chicago: 1630 W. Wilson Ave. Chicago, IL 60640. Donations will be accepted until 9pm Saturday the 10th. Contact American Indian Center, David Bender at 773-275-5871, ext 26, for more information or email nodaplillinois@gmail.com."
